Europe’s battery cell capacity to reach 509.3 GWh in 2029
China will continue to dominate the battery cell capacity race over the next 10 years, but Europe is coming in close with a huge growth pipeline and potential benefits to investors.
The number of cell plants worldwide have grown from 109 in November 2019 to 174 last month, totalling a capacity of 2,971.9 gigawatt hour (GWh), according to Caspar Rawles, head of price assessment at BMI.
