US energy storage technology company EnerVenue says it plans to build a $264 million gigafactory in Shelby County, Kentucky, Kallanish reports.
The facility is planned to manufacture nickel-hydrogen battery energy storage systems on a 73-acre site. First production of the so-called Energy Storage Vessels is expected in late 2023. The initial project will create 450 full-time jobs.
