Duke Energy disconnects CATL batteries from US military BESS
North Carolina-based utility company Duke Energy has disconnected CATL-made storage batteries from a US military base over security concerns.
The large-scale batteries were disconnected from Camp Lejeune on Wednesday. Installed at the Marine Corps base in April, the batteries are part of a battery energy storage system (BESS) on the base.
