DOE lists cobalt, graphite among six US critical minerals
A draft report by the US Department of Energy lists six short-term critical minerals on its 2022 list, Kallanish reports.
They are cobalt, graphite, gallium, dysprosium, iridium and neodymium. Lithium and uranium are listed as near-critical in the period between 2020-2025 along with electrical steel, nickel, magnesium, platinum, silicon carbon, fluorine and praseodymium. The new report lists 37 minerals.
