COPPER: Kamoa Copper to boost Kamoa-Kakula production capacity by 21%
Ivanhoe Mines is announcing a de-bottlenecking plan for its Kamoa-Kakula copper mines in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kallanish reports.
The plan will increase the combined design processing capacity of the Phase 1 and Phase 2 concentrator plants by 21%, boosting capacity from 7.6 million tonnes/year to 9.2m t/y, once steady-state production is achieved at both concentrators.
