COPPER: Imperial Metals to reopen Mount Polley copper mine in BC
Imperial Metals says it is advancing work to reopen its Mount Polley copper-gold mine in British Columbia, Kallanish reports.
The company is planning to restart the mine and milling operations before the end of June 2022. Work to reopen the mine began late last year. Limited mining operations began last November and about 4.5 million tonnes has been mined in preparation for the full restart of operations with about 350 workers.
