COPPER: Brazilian exports decline in May
Brazilian copper exports declined in May, but shipments were up 19.5% in the first five months of the year, compared to 2020, Kallanish reports.
According to data from the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), exports decreased 13.3% and 41.8%, respectively m-o-m and y-o-y, to 6,350 tonnes. Year-to-date, Brazil’s copper exports reached 41,410 t or 19.5% higher over the first five months of last year.
