CATL, LG compete for battery orders from Tesla
CATL has begun to supply Tesla Shanghai Factory with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries produced in its new factory located in Lingang, Shanghai.
According to the previously signed agreement, from January 2022 to December 2025, CATL will ensure the stable supply of LFP batteries to Tesla.
The main models covered are Model 3 and Model Y, the two models being produced in Shanghai, Kallanish notes.
