BYD cuts Seal price by 10%, challenging Model 3 sales in China
Chinese carmaker BYD is going after Tesla’s market share in China announcing a 10% discount on the starting price of its Seal all-electric sedan, Kallanish reports.
The rear-wheel-drive BYD Seal Standard is now selling at CNY 189,800 ($27,375), which is roughly 18% cheaper than its rival Tesla Model 3 (RWD) in China. The price adjustment unveiled on Wednesday includes other trims.
