BYD chairman proposes A-share buyback
Chinese leading automaker BYD says its actual controller and chairman Wang Chuanfu proposed to repurchase the company’s shares for CNY 200 million ($28m), Kallanish learns.
Wang Chuanfu said that the proposed BYD buyback is mainly based on confidence in the prospects of the new energy industry and the company’s future development under the country’s dual-carbon goals, as well as recognition of the company’s values.
