Britishvolt finds potential Nissan gigafactory ‘positive’ to the sector
UK battery start-up Britishvolt welcomed on Wednesday speculation that Nissan is planning to build a gigafactory at its Sunderland plant in northeast England.
A spokesperson told Kallanish Britishvolt is “encouraged” by reports of potential further battery investments in the UK as it “underscores the importance of lithium-ion battery facilities to keep up the growing demands from OEMs as they transition to electrification.”
