BMW Group’s H1 profit surges 73.6% despite lower sales, higher spending
BMW Group reported on Wednesday a net profit of €13.23 billion ($13.4 billion) in the first half of the year, which is 73.6% higher than the same period in 2021, Kallanish learns.
The strong profitability growth comes despite a 36.4% decline in profits last quarter, lower sales and higher spending. The company says it benefitted from positive pricing and product mix effects, as well as growth in its aftersales business.
