BLM working on Alaskan mining highway supplemental EIS
The US Bureau of Land Management is reviewing comments submitted on a proposed mining highway in northwest Alaska and whether additional highway impacts must be analysed, Kallanish reports.
The comment period on the contentious Ambler Road project, a 211-mile highway from the Dalton Highway to the developing Ambler Mining District, ended on 4 November for the BLM’s scoping process of the supplemental environmental impact statement.
