BHP reports copper, nickel production growth in September quarter
Australian miner BHP reported on Wednesday production growth for both copper and nickel during the July-September quarter, Kallanish notes.
Total copper production rose 9% on-year in the quarter to 410,000 tonnes, thanks to strong concentrator throughput at Escondida (Chile) and record quarterly anode production at Olympic Dam (Australia).
