BHP orders electric locomotives for Australia iron-ore hauling
Anglo-Australian mining giant BHP is ordering four battery-electric locomotives for its Western Australia iron ore rail system, Kallanish reports.
The purchase is designed to help cut the company’s carbon emissions, BHP says. The locomotives are scheduled for delivery in late 2023.
