BHP begins solar panel installation in northern Goldfields
Australian miner BHP has begun installing the first solar panels at its massive solar farm at Leinster Nickel Operation in the Northern Goldfields, Kallanish notes.
By the end of 2022, over 20,000 solar panels will be installed at this site alone, helping to power BHP Nickel West’s mining and concentrating operations at Leinster.
At the Mt Keith Operation, over 51,000 solar panels will be installed.
