The Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform recently clarified its goals for the new energy transition.

According to the announcement released last week, during 2022, continuous enhancement of the energy structure will still be the focus.

The government raised 30 key tasks covering eight aspects. About 8,000 villagers will have their residential areas refurnished with clean heating. In old communities, 20,000 charging piles for various types of electric vehicles and 30 battery swapping stations will be built, Kallanish learns. 

Besides blueprints on electric vehicle charging and battery swapping facilities, Beijing has also started layouts in the hydrogen energy industry. Based on "Beijing City's measures towards hydrogen energy industry development (2021-2025)," Beijing aims to establish 37 hydrogen replenishing stations in 2030, supplying 3,000 fuel cell vehicles. 

On 6 July, the related government officials of Jilin Province and Beijing City held a meeting on transmitting green electricity from Jilin to Beijing.
