Battery swapping to offer promising economics compared to fast charging: study
Battery swapping for electric vehicles is gaining a new lease on life with promising economics, after initially failing a decade ago, analysts at Lux Research say on Tuesday.
According to a new report by the research company, the method already offers advantages compared to fast charging in China and is nearing cost parity in Europe, particularly in the UK. It found that battery swapping is now being considered to support taxi fleets in urban areas.
