Air Liquide to build ammonia-to-hydrogen plant in Belgium
Air Liquide plans to build a new ammonia (NH3) cracking pilot plant in the port of Antwerp in Belgium, to be commissioned in 2024. The enterprise aims to facilitate hydrogen transport to the industry and mobility sector. Ammonia, a good energy carrier made of hydrogen and nitrogen, can be produced from renewable sources, and easily transported to end-users, where it will be converted back to hydrogen using the existing global supply chain infrastructure.
