Ahmet was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1976. He received BSc degree in Management from the Marmara University, Istanbul in 1998 and MSc degree in International Business from the Aston University in Birmingham, UK in 2000. After completing his military service in 2000, he started working in the family company SAMI SOYBAS STEEL as Vice President. Ahmet is married and has two sons. He is General Secretary of YISAD (Turkish Flat Steel products import, export & industry Association) and member of Gebze Chamber of Commerce Council.

With over 20 years in the steel industry, Ben is currently Commercial Director Construction for British Steel, the newly formed company arising from the purchase of the Long Products business by Greybull Capital from Tata Steel in June 2016.   Prior to the current leadership role in British Steel and previously within the Longs Division of Tata Steel, Ben headed up the Global Construction Projects within the International division of Corus and Tata Steel for almost 10 years;  a role which involved doing business in most steel consuming economies of the world, and the supply of multi-product and service packages into major infrastructure projects.  Commercial roles with both Cleveland Bridge and Imperial Metal Industries, have also added to Ben's experience of the international steel construction sector.

Marko Kusigerski, business development manager at the LME, is responsible for the new steel contracts. Marko joined the London Metal Exchange in February 2014. Previously, he was working for an American investment bank and he started his career at Credit Suisse covering industrial clients within the Investment Banking Division. Marko holds an MSc from Cass Business School London and a BA from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).

Alessandro started his career as a consultant in M&A, taxation and corporate finance, he then joined Duferco where he developed his skills as a steel manager. After some years in MMK group as export manager he joined Deltasteel Group where he managed the steel business unit. Since November 2016 he is CEO at Gamma Trade Sa, a Swiss based company, active in steel trading and distribution mainly focused in import of flats into Europe, adding value to European manufacturers through logistic, financing and hedging services.

Martin Theuringer has studied Economics in Cologne and Kiel and made his PhD at the Economic Policy Department at the University of Cologne specializing on trade policy issues. He has joined the German Steel Federation in 2003 and is Chief Economist since 2006 and Director for Economics since 2008. Martin is an expert on economic policy issues related to the steel sector and specialized on the analysis and forecast of supply and demand developments in national and international steel markets. He is member of the Economic Committees of Eurofer and Worldsteel and Chairman of the Economic Forecasting Committee of Worldsteel. 

Andreas is an experienced steel market consultant, watching and analyzing the German steel market for more than 25 years. He is providing in-depth-information, analysis and individual consulting services on the European/German steel market with a special focus on purchasing decisions of steel processing companies of all sizes. His maxime is to provide the most competent, independent and reliable service by means of expertise and networks. StahlmarktConsult is working closely with several industry associations representing mostly SME`s within the automotive supply chain. After studying economics in Cologne Andreas worked for several associations of the steel processing industry. He was Head of the raw material and steel market Department at Wirtschaftsverband Stahl- und Metallverarbeitung (WSM), Düsseldorf, and Managing Director at Verband der freien Rohrwerke, Siegen. In 2012 Andreas founded his own consulting company StahlmarktConsult, located in Leverkusen. Andreas lives in Leverkusen, and is married with two children.

Steven Randall has over 25 years of experience in the steel, metals and mining sectors where he has worked in a range of consulting, corporate and entrepreneurial roles. Steven co-founded The Steel Index (TSI), a specialist ferrous price information service, in 2006. He quickly established TSI as the leading provider of benchmark prices for iron ore, steel and scrap, used by industrial companies worldwide and as the settlement basis for over 30 futures/derivatives contracts on commodities exchanges in Asia, Europe and North America – most notably the SGX iron ore contracts and LME steel scrap contract. Having built TSI into a multi-million $ business, it was sold to S&P Global Platts in 2011. Steven continued as TSI’s Managing Director for a further four years before being appointed as the Director of Global Content (pricing, news and analysis) for all of Platts metals and TSI. He left this position at the end of June 2016 to pursue new ventures and undertake independent consulting assignments. In 2021 Steven joined the Kallanish team to set up Kallanish Index Services. Kallanish Index Services (KIS) specialises in compiling price indices for commodity markets using a rigorous, data-driven methodology. It works closely with market participants to compile the price indices and other essential industry data they need for business success. KIS is independent and impartial, with a small team of analysts based around the world. Prior to establishing TSI, Steven was the Director of Strategy at Corus, the major European steel producer acquired by Tata Steel in 2007. In this role he was responsible for the Group’s corporate strategy and planning activities for over four years. Steven started his career as a strategy consultant in 1988, working for over eleven years with Hatch Beddows in Europe and North America, specialising in steel industry projects.  Following this, he joined Steelscreen, an independent metals e-marketplace, as its UK General Manager. Steven holds an MA in Mathematics from Cambridge University.

Georges started a steel business career in Luxembourg in the financial department of ARBED. Afterwards, he joined TRADEARBED, the Sales Company of ARBED Group. Next, he was in charge for the development of steel distribution in ARBED Group. In 1995, Mr Kirps entered the Management Board of PROFILARBED, ARBED’s Long Products producing units, with responsibility for Steel Distribution and Marketing. At the merger of ARBED, ACERALIA and USINOR into ARCELOR in 2002, he  got put in charge as Executive Vice President Strategy, Logistics and Synergies for ARCELOR Distribution, Trading and Transformation. Since 2005, he is the Director General for EUROMETAL, the European Federation of Steel , Tubes and Metal distribution and trading. EUROMETAL gathers 18 national steel distribution federations representing 1 600 European steel distributors, steel service centers and steel traders, to a large extent mostly independent and family owned small and medium sized enterprises.

Rudi is the director of international trade based in Dentons' Brussels office. As a system analyst by education and through his experience as a case officer in the European Commission's Directorate- General for Trade and several renowned international law firms for over 20 years, Rudi gained invaluable practical experience and an exceptional level of expertise in the areas of anti-dumping, anti- subsidy and safeguard measures. He is recognised by his peers and clients as one of the leading experts in the field. Rudi concentrates on all aspects of international trade policy with an emphasis on trade defence instruments within the framework of WTO. He represented countless clients in trade remedy proceedings before the EU institutions and other major investigating authorities worldwide. As the client's individual economic situation with regards production and sales has a major impact and is the main decisive aspect of the outcome of trade defence investigations, Rudi focuses on a detailed structural analysis of the client's specific situation. This unique skill allows him to develop the best individually tailored legal strategy based upon the results of such analysis and gives him the opportunity to assist his clients in an accurate preparation of detailed replies to the investigating authorities' inquiries and offer them expert assistance throughout the entire course of the proceeding. 

Arnaud Guerendel has been in the steel business for more than 33 years, starting his carrier in Arcelor group early 90s taking care of automotive subcontractors in France. In 1996, he started to work for SSAB and held various positions in Europe. He left the company in 2007 and for 8 years held senior positions at the Russian steel producer NLMK and DUFERCO International Trading Holding, based in Switzerland. Over the years he has acquired a wealth of knowledge regarding the global steel business and complex assets in steel industries, included trading. Start 2016 he returned to SSAB as global director for their automotive business and operated from 2020 as Director of Strategic Development for SSAB CTO organization. Arnaud is now Vice President Slaes at Vulcan Green Steel.

Ingo Winkelmann was born 25.02.1964 in Cologne and currently lives in Monheim am Rhein, and is married with three children. In 1995 he was the Die Designer at General Motors, Opel. From 1995-1998 Mr Winkelman was the Die Design Liaison/process Engeineer for Ford Motor Company.  In 1998 he was promoted to the Supervisor of Materials Engineering and then 2 years later to the Supervisor of SCM Raw Materials for Ford Motor Company.  Since 2014 Mr Winkelman has held the position of Purchasing Manager Raw Materials at Ford Motor Company.

Reiner Temme is the managing partner of steel structurals construction firm Temme Stahlbau GmbH, based in Schafstädt, Lower Saxony. Born in 1958, he studied steel construction in Dortmund and industrial engineering and management in Bielefeld. Following some years in bridge construction at Stahlbau Lavis GmbH, he joimed the family-owned Temme Stahl- und Metallbau in Northeim in the mid-1980s. In the 1990s, he enlarged the company with a new site in Thuringia and an acquisition in Schafstädt, Lower Saxony. Temme Stahlbau today achieves some € 10-11 million in sales per year has an annual steel working volume of some 5,000 tonnes for residential buildings, industry plants, roofs, bridges, and other purposes  

Tony Singer started his career in steel trading in 1961 in London with Henry Gardner & Co Ltd and during his time with them worked in their steel stockholding and steel re-inforcing divisions and export department before being appointed Manager of their New York steel trading department in 1967. From 1970 until 1995 he worked for the Primary Industries Corporation trading group in London, initially in the import department and from 1974 as Manager of East European Operations. From 1976 he was the Director responsible for steel trading with Eastern Europe and organised the opening and staffing of the group’s offices in Moscow and Kiev. During this time he travelled extensively in Europe, the USA, Russia, Brazil and S.E. Asia. He later became Deputy Managing Director of Primary Industries (UK) Ltd , a position he held until he left the company in December 1995. From 1996 until the present time he has been self employed as a Steel Marketing Consultant trading as Bartley Marketing Consultants and working closely with associates in Germany, North & South America, Asia, the CIS and other East European countries. Tony Singer has been President of The International Steel Trade Association (ISTA) since 2008. The Association, based in London, was established in 1969 - their membership includes steel traders, shipping companies, marine and credit insurance brokers, lawyers, and financial institutions.

Dominic joined UK Steel at the start of the UK steel crisis in October 2015 as Head of Policy and External Affairs and has been instrumental in ensuring the steel industries asks have been, and continue to be taken up by government. He has regularly appeared in print and in front of the media. As well as his role for UK Steel, Dominic is a Trade Policy Adviser for EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation and has extensive knowledge on all things Brexit including tariffs, non-tariff barriers, trade defence instruments and trade opportunities impacting the manufacturing sector. Prior to joining EEF, Dominic spent a number of years working in the House of Commons for Members of Parliament and also for the industry body representing the outsourcing industry.

Roland Döhrn, born 1954, is head of the division “Macroeconomic and Public Finance” at the RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic research in Essen. He is professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen and lecturer at the University of Münster. He received a diploma in economics from the University of Mainz and a Ph. D. from the University of Bochum. Since 1978 he works at RWI. His main research interests are business cycles analyses and short term forecasting. Since 2002 he leads the RWI team at the “Gemeinschaftsdiagnose” (joint forecast for the ministry of economics). In addition, he has published various analyses of the steel market, in particular an annual steel market report (RWI Stahlbericht).
